本文报道了不久前党中央政治局作出关于进一步搞好对外开放的重要决策的经过。这次政治局会议着重讨论了如何加快步伐,更好地利用外资、引进先进技术的问题。会议就中央书记处和国务院前不久召开的沿海部分城市座谈会提出的关于进一步开放十四个沿海港口城市的建议,作出了最后的决定。文章还就对外开放的战略地位,经济特区的由来,以及党中央领导同志所提出的重要指导思想等,作了较详尽的阐述。
This article reports on the recent decision of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee to make major decisions on opening up to the outside world further. The meeting of the Politburo focused on how to speed up the pace, make better use of foreign capital and introduce advanced technologies. The meeting made a final decision on the proposal of further opening up 14 coastal port cities proposed by the Central Secretariat and the State Department on the part of coastal cities held recently. The article also elaborates on the strategic position of opening up, the origin of the special economic zones, and the important guiding ideology put forward by the party leading comrades.
