The HHCooper has been supplemented and refined. The entire derivation process is visible in the general groundwater dynamics book and will not be repeated here. S. P. Newman equaled the direct application of Wu (1) in 1971 to the unsteady seepage of a dam with a free surface. In the same year, Iida Ichida made a similar deduction when considering the compression of the soil and the water body during the unsteady seepage of the Shiba in the free surface. In 1977, Mao Xixi also conducted the same derivation, and calculated the finite element method for the unsteady seepage of earth dams. Its derivation is rigorous, assuming volume
