The medical staff of Japan’s Kurume University Medical Department discussed the effect of lung resection in patients with lung metastasis from colorectal cancer. Subjects and Methods: Forty-three patients with lung metastases from colorectal cancer underwent lung resection for survival and relapse. Results: The 5-year survival rate of patients with lung resection was 45.7%, which was significantly different from the survival rate of 4.2 patients with non-resected solitary pulmonary metastasis in 37 cases during the same period.
