高智耀爲元初名臣,出身西夏名宦世家,在蒙古國與元朝初年,曾在保護知識分子、確定儒戶地位與待遇等方面,作出過巨大貢獻。20世紀80年代,周清澍撰寫“高智耀”辭條,簡明扼要地介紹了他的生平。但其生卒年,因史料語焉不詳,周清澍僅能初步判定爲約1206—1271年~(〔1〕)。高智耀的生平研究,則以九十年代杉山正明的論述較爲全面。其中有關高智耀的卒年考察,杉山正明的觀點與周清澍較爲接近。他認爲,考慮到高智耀於至元八年(1271)三月前後解
Gao Zhiyao was a famous minister in the early Yuan Dynasty and was a celebrity family member of the Western Xia Dynasty. In the early years of Mongolia and the Yuan Dynasty, Gao Zhiyao made great contributions to the protection of intellectuals and the determination of the status and treatment of Confucianism. In the 1980s, Chou Ching-wook wrote his article “Gao Zhiyao”, briefly introducing his life.
