抗美援朝40周年理论研讨会于1990年9月中旬在武汉海军工程学院举行。这一研讨会是武汉地区军队院校协作中心同湖北省党史学会联合发起的,来自全国16个省市的110多名专家、学者和志愿军老同志提交了论文。大会以“总结抗美援朝的历史经验,继承和发扬中国人民志愿军的光荣传统,警惕和反对帝国主义对华和平演变和可能的武装侵略”为主题,着重讨论了如下四个方面的问题:
The Symposium on the 40th Anniversary of the War to Resist the Aid United States and Korea was held in Wuhan Navy Engineering College in mid-September 1990. This seminar was jointly sponsored by the Wuhan Military Academy Collaboration Center and the Hubei Provincial Party History Institute. More than 110 experts, scholars and veteran volunteers from 16 provinces and cities nationwide submitted papers. With the theme of “summing up the historical experience of the Korean War and aiding the DPRK, inheriting and carrying forward the glorious tradition of the Chinese People’s Volunteers Army, and guarding against and opposing the peaceful evolution of the imperialists toward China and the possible armed aggression”, the conference focused on the following four issues:
