本文指出,范畴是由大量子系统组成的远离平衡态的开放系统,在竞争和协同作用下,通过非线性涨落达到新的有序结构,并且不断地向更高级的有序方向进化,具有自组织性。其具体机制表现在:1)范畴系统内部若干子系统集体运动的局部涨落,是其进化的内部根据;2)范畴子系统之间同化与被同化关系的协同作用,是其进化的微观机制;3)范畴系统与语境之间大量交换信息的相互作用,是其进化的外部条件。范畴系统具有以下自组织性特征:自相似性、嵌套性、不可逆性和不可预测性。范畴系统的非平衡态贯穿于范畴进化①的始终,在复杂性科学发展的后现代语境下只有在范畴的主体性、内部条件以及外部条件的统一中,才能全面把握范畴进化的条件和机理,认识范畴的本质特征。
