作为爱伦·坡恐怖小说的经典佳作之一,《厄舍府的倒塌》主要讲述了一对兄妹相依为命、却又相互折磨、终被死亡吞噬的故事。基于但不同于以往的研究,本文试从双重隐喻的角度浅析男主人公罗德里克·厄舍的心理历程以及整个厄舍家族的崩塌,从而进一步理解爱伦·坡恐怖小说的创作统一性和整体效果的强烈震撼性。
As one of the classic masterpieces of Allan Poe’s horror fiction, “The Fall of the House of Usher” mainly tells the story of a brother and sister dependent on each other, but tortured each other and eventually devoured by death.
