Adjacent to UMIST, there is a relatively independent agency, Industrial Services (CAPCIS), affiliated with the school’s Corrosion and Protection Center (equivalent to one department). In the nature of its business, it is an economic entity in a university-based institution that is similar to the various industries in the industry. Thirty or so professionals are all employees. They are not staffed by university staff. Their salaries are higher than those in other universities. However, the odds of losing their jobs are also high. It is also financially independent, paying only part of its profits each year to the university. In terms of external operation, the service contracts are signed in full compliance with the general business principles and the principle of confidentiality. About 50% of the revenue comes from services abroad. CAPCIS has an independent laboratory, but it also has a business division with the Corrosion and Protection Center. Teachers and technicians from the Corrosion and Protection Center can be invited to attend the service’s topics and projects, as well as to use All of its experimental equipment.
