流传于东北满族的传统民间工艺之一就有传承千年的渤海靺鞨绣,它以牡丹江为中心以及东本地区满族刺绣的统称,是中国优秀的民族传统工艺之一,是存在于满族、女贞、靺鞨刺绣的民间艺术。这项工艺将传统的东北三角针技术和现代的摄影技术巧妙的融合在了一起,它是通过传承和开发进而与东北特有的山地文化融合在一起的艺术,它绣出来之后形成的美术品透视逼真并且色彩鲜艳。渤海靺鞨绣能体现出东北风土人情的粗犷豪放,与苏绣的小家碧玉、温婉细腻的风格是不同的。
