当今的艺术与设计已步入了一个包罗万象的完全开放状态,它的丰富包容、赏心悦目是以前所无法比拟的。不可否认,它确实为艺术家和设计师提供了无比广阔的舞台,但它同时也对艺术家和设计师的思想、艺术表现手法、审美标准带来了前所未有的冲击。尤其是作为走在社会前沿的设计师更不可避免地陷入了深深的困惑:面对设计艺术的种种现状,我们何去何从?是继续走模仿西方现代设计的道路,还是走本土化道路,抑或是中西交融的创新之路?处于这种境地,我以为儒家的中庸思想或许会给我们种种启示,帮助我们走出困境。
Today’s art and design are entering an all-encompassing state of complete openness, rich and entertaining, as previously unmatched. Admittedly, it does provide an extremely broad stage for artists and designers, but at the same time it also exerts an unprecedented impact on the artists ’and designers’ ideas, artistic expressions and aesthetic standards. Especially as the designers walking in the social front, it is inevitably caught in the deep confusion: Where are we going in the face of the current situation of design art? Are we going to follow the path of modern western design or the localization, or In this situation, I think the Confucian doctrine of the mean may give us all kinds of inspiration to help us out of the woods.
