In the more than 30 years from the 1980s to 2015, ethnicity, gender, status and other issues became the focus of attention. In the United States, the Queer drama, aiming to focus on gender issues, conceals identities in every way from the early and middle stages of the 20th century to a direct and open affirmation of its rights by the end of this century. It is an important theater trend to focus on homosexuality and utopia. Afro-dramatic plays of ethnicity have also become particularly noticeable by tapping history, reproducing memories and soothe the black body and soul trauma. As the two major trends of American drama at the turn of the century, these two bring together other dramatic trends of thought into the spectacular torrent of American drama at the turn of the century, which has propelled the development of American drama.
