为贯彻“科教兴国”的大政方针，为在全国范围内稳妥而迅速地提高语文教学质量，提出了研制《百年语文教学资料信息库及其管理系统》的问题。文章从报刊杂志的特点、教学信息的剧增、教师查找资料、教学科研等几方面谈了研制此软件的必要性；从资料收集的丰富全面和计算机处理能力的迅速提高谈了可能性。文章指出：这一有关中小学（也包括大学非文科专业的大学语文课）的极为重要学科的基本建设应该引起有关领导的重视，尽快着手研制。
In order to carry out the major policy of “rejuvenating our country through science and education” and to improve the quality of Chinese teaching in a safe and prompt manner throughout the country, we have put forward the issue of developing “one hundred years of Chinese teaching information repository and its management system”. The article talks about the necessity of developing this software from the aspects of the characteristics of newspapers and periodicals, the sharp increase of teaching information, teachers’ finding information, teaching and research, and so on. The article discusses the possibility of enriching data collection and the rapid increase of computer processing ability. The article points out that this basic construction of the extremely important disciplines concerning primary and secondary schools (including university Chinese courses for non-arts majors) should draw the attention of the leaders concerned and start the research as soon as possible.
