On a sunny day in 1656, John W. Washington, a British businessman, arrived in the West Bank on a cargo ship selling tobacco leaves. At the time, he was less than 30 years old and was very athletic and proud. The expansive and exotic land with bright prospects extended its welcome to the new immigrants who had come from afar. He quickly purchased a large amount of fertile farmland at the cheap price in Mount Vernon and, through three consecutive marriages, House to establish kinship. As Colonel of the state-controlled Self-Defense Forces, member of the Bourgeois Guild, he gradually ranks among the prominent figures known far and near. Before his death in 1676, his place of residence was honored as Washington.
