The inclusion body is an intracellular structure resulting from a viral infection. These structures include viral particles and virus-related substances as well as ordinary cellular components in normal or degenerated conditions, or only one, and more often in varying ratios (Martelli and Russo. 1977). The inclusion bodies vary in their form from amorphous to well-defined crystalline structures; some are large enough to be visible under optical microscopes and others only with the aid of electron microscopy
