英国作家戴维·洛奇将个人对宗教危机的思考融入作品创作中,他的创作可分为三个时期。在创作初期,洛奇利用戏拟与拼贴技巧将对教会的嘲讽隐藏于“文本狂欢”现象背后,行文中形成了荒诞与严肃对抗的张力场,在读者获得欢愉之余,引发对人性的思考。在创作中期,洛奇将文学创作引入现实生活,注重对人性、普世人文主义的颂扬以及对传统宗教教规、教义的重新审视与过滤。在创作后期,洛奇更加关注对人文主义关怀与宗教价值存在意义的探讨,由此激发了洛奇对此生与来世的重新思考。从被动的接受训诫到对宗教教规、教义的质疑、思考与宽容,洛奇在宗教创作的道路上完成了文学创作的朝圣之旅。
