分布于我国各地的630个地市级农科所(以下简称地市所),是我国农业科研的前沿阵地,是集科研、开发、推广、服务于一体的重要力量,对推动农业科技进步,促进农业和农村经济发展,起着重要的作用。地市所的近4.7万名职工,占了全国农业科研系列总人数的37.22％,20216名科技人员中,高、中级科技人员占了全国农业科研队伍的24.7％和32.72％。他们常年奋战在第一线,硕果累累,效益显著。1990年有12项科技成果获国家级奖励,214项获部省级奖励,分别占全国农业科研系列获奖成果的19.05％和24.3％。山东省18个地市所(站)截至1990年,累计鉴定科研成果850项,其中获奖成果557项,占全省农业科研单位获奖成果总数的53.6％,创造社会经济效益226亿元。以农作物新品种
