Since 2002, Yunnan Power Grid has seized the important historical opportunities of “Western Development” and “West-East Power Transmission”, and adjusted the energy structure. Yunnan Power Grid has made tremendous efforts to develop the power industry into the pillar industry of hydropower in Yunnan Province. In the past 10 years, the construction investment of Yunnan Power Grid reached 74.45 billion yuan, 3.4 times of the total assets of the company by the end of 2002, and the capacity of substations reached 80.9565 million kVA, 4.14 times that of 2002. 110 thousand V and above transmission lines up to 38,737.41 km, 2.2 times in 2002, to achieve the backbone of the grid from 220 kV voltage level increased to
