This article is a prospective study of renal function prediction. Predict creatinine clearance in ICU patients by using four mathematical formulas such as age, sex, weight, height, and plasma creatinine, and compare them to the 24-hour creatinine clearance rate of patients to identify their accuracy. Ninety-nine critically ill patients from ICU in three municipal hospitals in New York City participated in the study. Patients had indwelling Foley catheters.
