利用兔子身上分离的角蛋白基因转入棉花,使棉花纤维具有了兔毛的品质。目前,这一全新棉种在江苏喜获丰收。据悉,上海科研人员已把这些首批动物角蛋白转基因棉制作成服装。据介绍,“兔毛棉花”诞生于中科院上海植物生理生态研究所。1998年,以陈晓亚研究员为首的课题组应用独创转基因技术路线,在该所人工气候室培育出第一代棉株。经过反复筛选、育种,目前已培养至第六代,且遗传性稳定。如今,在江苏试种的“兔毛棉花”获得丰收,部分棉朵被美国棉花博物馆收藏。其余棉花经过加工后,被制成500件T恤和套衫,用于测试纤维品质。笔者近日在实验室看到了兔角蛋白转基因棉花和T恤,该棉花色泽似兔毛般光亮,手感也更

According to reports, “Rabbit Cotton” was born at the Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1998, the research team headed by the researcher Chen Xiaoya applied the original genetic engineering technology route to cultivate the first generation of cotton plants in the artificial climate room. After repeated screening and breeding, it has been cultivated to the sixth generation and hereditarily stable. Today, the “rabbit hairy cotton” planted in Jiangsu was harvested, and some cotton plants were collected by the American Cotton Museum. After processing the remaining cotton, it was made into 500 T-shirts and pullovers for fiber quality testing. The author recently saw rabbit keratin transgenic cotton and T-shirts in the laboratory. The color of the cotton looks like a rabbit’s hair and feels more
