党的十三届四中全会特别是党的十五大以来,滇东电业局党委在云南电力集团公司党组的正确领导下,始终坚持“两手抓、两手都要硬”的方针,不断加强和改进党的建设,充分发挥党组织的政治核心作用,有力地推动了企业各项工作的全面发展,有力地推进了二次创业,两个文明建设取得了丰硕的成果,先后荣获云南省“文明行业”、“文明单位”、“思想政治工作先进单位”、“先进基层党组织”、“职业道德‘双十佳’先进单位”、“国家电力公司双文明单位”、云南电力集团公司“双文明单位标兵”和“思想政治工作优秀企业”等称号。2000年7月,滇东电业局被国家电力公司命名为“一流供电企业”,成为西南五省（区）首批国家电力公司一流供电企业。回顾滇东电业局的发展史,无不是加强和改进党的建设的结果。
