党的十七大报告指出:“中国特色社会主义理论体系,就是包括邓小平理论、‘三个代表’重要思想和科学发展观等重大战略思想在内的科学理论体系。”而这一论述中并没有包括毛泽东思想,这是否表示毛泽东思想不再重要?或者是对我们今天建设中国特色社会主义不再有价值?本文在罗列了几种具有代表性的观点的基础上,着重阐述了中国特色社会主义理论体系为什么不包括毛泽东思想,深刻理解这一问题对我们正确认识和坚持毛泽东思想,对于长期坚持和不断发展党历经艰辛开创的中国特色社会主义道路和中国特色社会主义理论体系都具有十分重要的意义。
