我厂从1979年开始,为提高三联齿轮箱中人字齿轴的使用寿命,将其原来的调质硬度HB220~250提高到HB300~320,且在调质前先粗铣齿槽(简称“开齿”),使精铣齿成形后的实际硬度符合上述要求。人字齿轮轴的调质硬度提高后,原先使用的普通高速钢W18Cr4V指形铣刀就很易磨损。为此,我厂试用由北京钢院研制、大冶钢厂协助试制的W12Mo3Cr4V3N高速钢(简称“V3N”),制成指形铣刀,经铣切后取得较好效果。
