四川的藏族一直是一个能歌善舞的民族,音乐舞蹈独具特色。而他们的情歌是人们在生产、生活中,用歌唱表情达意,甚至倚歌择偶形成的重要载体,成为民族文化的特殊窗口。对川区藏族情歌中的众多表达意象进行总结分类和分析研究,可以发现其中包含的藏民们生活日常的经验积累和对自然的了解认知,还有对于人们宗教信仰(这里包括原始信仰)的表达,更有对于先民的古老记忆的遗存。
