菲律宾拥有十分绵长的海岸,因此海产特别丰富,海鲜是当地居民十分喜爱的一种食品,也是大部分餐馆的必备菜式。在市场上,鲜虾、龙虾、蟹、鱼、鲜鱿等海产品琳琅满目,经过烧烤的海鲜在菲律宾较受欢迎。海产品经过烧烤后,不仅可以有效地驱除腥味,还可以增加它的香味,令人垂涎三尺,食欲大增。菲律宾的蟹有很多品种,可谓千奇百怪,在众多的蟹中,以长滩岛上的人妖蟹最为奇特,这种蟹是雌也是雄,双性合一,因此当地人生动地称之为人妖蟹。人妖蟹经过烹调后肉质饱满嫩滑,蟹膏丰富软糯,是菲律宾的一种特色美食,在很多酒店都可以品尝到。
