出席省人民代表会议的关俊彦先生,是中国民主同盟东北总支部负责人之一,『九一八』事变前在东北参加过反帝大同盟,『九一八』事变后流亡关内,从事抗日救国运动,曾一度遭受国民党特务毒手而被捕入狱。东北解放后,回到家乡(他是延吉县人)参加东北的建设工作,曾任延残专员公署专员、吉林省政府民政厅长等职,现任吉林省人民法院院长。在去年八月东北人民代表会议上,被选为东北人民政府委员。他今年已经六十六岁了,因为他年高也因为他有德——长期革命斗争的生活,人们都敬爱的称他『关老』。从表面看来,关老有着满头银丝样的白发,脸上带着层叠的皱纹,说明着他已经年迈;然而和他谈话中,记者从他那矍灿的眼光中看到饱满的精神,他谈话的语气和态度,也充沛着青年般的热情。当我们谈到他出席这次省人民代表会议的时候,他开始一句话是很激昂的,他说:『吉林的人民在过去漫长的黑暗岁月里,曾亲历过封建势力、帝国主义和国民党反动派一系列的压迫、剥削!』但当他说到:『现在的吉林人民在共产 Mr. Kwan Twee Hoon, who attends the Provincial People’s Congress, is one of the heads of the Northeast Branch of China Democratic League. At the Northeast People’s Representative Meeting in August last year, he was elected as a member of the Northeast People’s Government. He is already sixty-six years old this year because he is still young because of his moral character - a long-term revolutionary struggle. People all dearly call him “Guan Lao”. On the face of it, Kwan-t’ao had silver-colored white hair with wrinkled folds on his face, indicating that he was already old; however, when talking to him, the reporter saw from his magnificent eyes full of Spirit, tone and attitude of his conversation, but also full of youth-like enthusiasm. When we talked about his attendance at the meeting of the people’s congress of this province, he said: “The people of Jilin have witnessed the feudal forces, the imperialists and the Kuomintang reactionaries in the long dark past. A series of oppression and exploitation! ”But when he said:“ The present people in Jilin are communists. ”
