(一九六三年九月二十日)我们国家的好处是地大人口多,缺点也是地大人口多。经过十多年的建设,工业农业都有了一点基础。我们是有希望建设好的。为什么说我们可以建设好?这主要有两个原因:第一条,全党、全国人民,百分之九十五以上的党员、干部和人民群众是经过了考验的,大家心齐;第二条,我们的革命和建设,已经有了十三年的经验。有成功的经验,也有失败的经验;有正确的经验,也有部分错误的经验。比如拿工业建设来说,我们党在全国解放时完全没有这方面的经验。开始时我们只有向苏联学习,但又不会学,会学就不叫教条主义了。硬搬人家的经验,搬错了也搬,这种教条主义是难免的。这不能叫作错误,因为我们没有别的选择。一个娃娃开始走路的时候,总是要有人扶着走的。问题在于要善于总结经验。 (September 20, 1963) The benefit of our country is that it has a large population and a large population.
