王小帅1966出生,籍贯上海,1989年毕业于北京电影学院导演系,1993年执导独立电影处女作《冬春的日子》,被英国BBC选为电影诞生一百周年之百部最佳影片之一。1995执导《极度寒冷》,被《纽约时报》评为最勇敢的中国独立电影。1996执导第一部体制内电影《扁担姑娘》,该片历经三年审查与修改1999年获得通过。1999年执导第二部体制内影片《梦幻田园》,2000年执导影片《17岁的单车》,获第51届柏林电影节评审团大奖银熊奖。2002年执导《二弟》,2004年《青红》获第58届嘎纳评委会大奖,2008年《左右》获第58届柏林银熊奖(最佳编剧)。
Born in Shanghai in 1966 and born in Shanghai, Wang Xiaoshu graduated from the directorial department of Beijing Film Academy in 1989. In 1993, he directed the independent film debut, “The Spring and Winter Days,” and was chosen by the British BBC as one of the 100 best films in the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of a Film. In 1995, he directed “Extremely Cold,” and was rated as the bravest China independent film by The New York Times. 1996 Directed the first system of film “pole girl”, the film after three years of review and amendment passed in 1999. In 1999 he directed the second film “Dreamland” and in 2000 he directed the film “17-year-old bicycle” and won the Silver Bear Prize at the 51st Berlin Film Festival Jury. In 2002, he directed “Second Brother”. In 2004, “Green Red” won the 58th Cannes Jury Prize, and in 2008 “Around” won the 58th Berlin Silver Bear Award (Best Screenplay).
