To understand the effect of long-term low-dose ionizing radiation on micronuclei and white blood cells (WBC) and platelets (PLT) in peripheral blood lymphocytes of radiation workers, 374 workers in a city of Gansu Province engaged in exposure to ionizing radiation were enrolled as radiation group and 108 Non-radiation workers as a control group, the peripheral blood lymphocytes micronuclei, WBC and PLT detection. The results showed that the frequency of lymphocyte micronucleus (0.16 ‰), abnormal detection rate of WBC (7.75%) and abnormal detection rate of PLT (16.84%) were higher in the radiotherapy group than those in the control group The difference of detection rate was statistically significant (P <0.05). Tip, long-term low-dose ionizing radiation on the radiosman lymphocyte micronucleus rate, WBC and PLT abnormality have a certain impact on the detection rate.
