PUMA(p53 up-regulated modulator of apoptosis)是Bcl-2蛋白家族的促凋亡成员之一,具有强大的促凋亡作用。
P53 up-regulated modulator of apoptosis (PUMA) is one of the pro-apoptotic members of the Bcl-2 protein family, which has potent pro-apoptotic effects. The study found that the decrease of PUMA expression level is closely related to tumorigenesis. Upregulation of PUMA expression in tumor cells can enhance the sensitivity of tumor cells to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The lack of PUMA can effectively reduce the normal tissue damage caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This article briefly reviewed the progress of PUMA in tumor therapy and normal tissue injury caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
