A: Mostly infants and toddlers have a pair of bright, clear eyes that are particularly appealing. However, when they grow up, their eyes seem smaller. The common explanation for this phenomenon is this: a person from infancy to adult, the size of the eye is the same, but the head and body will grow much more. Therefore, in contrast, the baby’s eyes appear particularly large. This is not a rough statement, but it is not quite certain. A person from birth to adulthood, the size of the eyes is not fixed, it is still necessary to grow up, but the growth rate is relatively small. On average, a newborn eyeball has a diameter (fore and aft) of about 16 millimeters while an adult eyeball has a diameter of about 24 millimeters.
