导读:8月是旅游高峰季,机票和酒店的价格都较高。即使如此,8月去英国一游还是非常值得的。
August is the busiest holiday month of the year. Airports are crowded, resorts are hot and prices tend to be high. But if you have school-age children, you will be probably taking your yearly holiday in the sun. If you want to save money, it’s best to wait until the end of August. Most people want to travel early in the month, so prices are higher. If you can wait until the last week, you’ll find prices come down a lot.
Although the August weather has been changing over the past several years, the standard of UK holidays is still increasing and the money you save on airplanes can be put in high-quality staying places.
If you love wide open spaces, rent a cottage in the countryside of the Yorkshire Dales where you can explore historic market towns, castles, walking trails, fishing villages and friendly pubs, or rent a house on or near the beach in Norfolk or Suffolk. You could rent a former lighthouse keeper’s cottage or if you don’t want to leave your dog at home, pick from more than 100 dog-friendly cottages in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
If you want to stay in a hotel, we recommend Gilpin Lodge in the Lake District, Lucknam Park Hotel
