2012年8月,军旅画家陈芳桂花费一年心血的《长城组歌》问世,作为参加庆祝建军85周年全国美术作品展暨第12届全军美术作品展的特殊展品,亮相于中国美术馆大厅。这是一件与所有参展作品迥然不同的国画装置作品,长13米,高2.7米,由5垛高低起伏的立方体城墙组成,分别刻画了以毛泽东、朱德、周恩来、邓小平为核心的36位革命家、军事家的英武形象,与长城熔铸一体,纪念碑式的造型,史诗般的壮观,立意高远、气势恢宏。它
In August 2012, military painter Chen Fanggui spent a year devoting himself to the “Great Wall Group Song” as a special exhibit to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 12th Army Art Exhibition. It was exhibited in China Fine Arts Hall. This is a work of traditional Chinese painting installation which is totally different from all the exhibitors’ works.
