20世纪80年代,设计领域突然涌现出一股回归享乐主义、装饰主义的潮流,看上去完全就是对20年代以来权威的现代主义设计观念的背叛。法国的新巴洛克设计自此登上了历史舞台。新巴洛克设计充满了离奇的造型、怪异的组合、绚丽的色彩、令人目眩的纹饰以及闪烁着各种光感的材料。巴洛克一直在试图拥抱经典,将其诸多特征融入自身的复杂系统之中,并开启通向新风格的大门。古典巴洛克如是,新巴洛克亦如是。
In the 1980s, a sudden return to hedonicism and decorativeism in the field of design appeared to be a complete betrayal of the authoritative modernist design concept since the 1920s. The new Baroque design in France has since boarded the stage of history. The new Baroque design is full of bizarre shapes, weird combinations, gorgeous colors, dazzling decorations, and materials that glitter with a variety of light sensations. Baroque has been trying to embrace the classic, incorporating many of its features into its own complex system and opening the door to a new style. The classical Baroque case, the new baroque is the same.
