‘威宁紫皮大蒜’是从威宁县中水镇地方大蒜品种中提纯复壮而成的常规品种,于2016年6月通过贵州省第六届农作物品种审定委员会审定,定名为‘威宁紫皮大蒜’(黔审菜2016001号)。该品种的蒜薹667m2产量高达2 164.3kg;大蒜素含量比金乡白蒜高53.9%,适宜威宁县内相似于中水镇河谷地区生态的区域。经2013—2015年2年区试,蒜头667m2平均产量993.51kg,较‘洛龙紫蒜’和‘成都云顶早’2个对照品种分别高9.61%、40.99%;蒜薹667m2平均产量1 786.88kg,较2个对照品种分别高16.67%、43.39%。

The average yield of 667m2 garlic sprouts was 1 786.88kg, Which is 16.67% and 43.39% higher than the two control varieties respectively.
