The subtropical monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forest in Dinghushan Nature Reserve in Guangdong Province is a type of typical zonal vegetation in the monsoon and subtropical zone of China. At present, in addition to maintaining its original forests, some vegetation is destroyed by human activities and replaced by secondary forests. The microenvironment resulting from the coverage of the original forest vegetation is a balanced ecosystem. Changes in plant type and vegetation environment have changed the established relationship between plants and insects, and have changed the habitat, the quantity of food and the adaptability of insects. Research on the pests of two woodland plants will help clarify the ecological consequences of vegetation change.
