Since the “Cultural Turn”, translation studies have gradually got rid of isolated textual studies and begun to pay attention to the extra-textual factors. At the same time, the development of other disciplines also provides more perspectives on translation studies, making the interdisciplinary features of translation more obvious. However, the boundaries of translation as an independent discipline have become increasingly blurred. This article attempts to start from the essence of the theory created by the concept of “meme ” rather than “gene ” and focus on the inherent connotations of concepts such as “meme” and “common nuclear” In order to discuss the enlightenment of “Memetics” to translation theory research and translation teaching.
