景耀月,山西省芮城县陌南镇小寺前村人,字瑞星,别署大招、帝召、秋绿、秋陆等。幼年,随父辈以种田和编制竹器谋生。后入县学,师从芮城名儒孙渭鱼。未及弱冠,即入选令德堂读书,1902年再选升山西大学堂中斋。1903年秦晋合闱,他中副榜。1904年公派留学日本,入早稻田大学攻读法律,并获法学学士学位。景耀月追随孙中山奔波海内外宣传发动革命,是推翻封建帝制,创建中华民国的开国功臣。
