闽南盛产花岗岩石,它是建材工业重要原料之一。近年来,由于大兴建筑事业,石料加工单位很多,就厦门而言,有国营石料厂、有三资企业碎石场,也有乡镇企业办的石料厂,由于从事石料作业工人缺乏劳动卫生知识,中毒事故时有发生。如1990年11月,厦门市同安县发生一起开山炸石,硝烟中毒死2人,伤2人。1992年6月,厦门海沦石料厂开山炸石,也发生一起硝烟中毒,4人死亡,2人严重中毒。这两起中毒事故均发生在乡镇企业。

Both of these poisoning incidents occurred in township and village enterprises.
