巷子口硫铁矿为高、中温热液接触交代的矽卡岩型以磁黄铁矿为主的含铜硫铁矿中型矿床。本研究对象为1号矿体的选矿工艺。(一)原矿性质以磁黄铁矿为主的矿石并不多见。该矿石中有用矿物力磁黄铁矿、胶黄铁矿、白铁矿和黄铜矿。脉石矿物以长石、方解石为主,其次有透辉石、透闪石、阳起石、石英等。硫铁矿约占40%,而磁黄铁矿就占30%。矿石以致密块状构造为主,其次以隐晶质致密条带状产出,还有浸染状构造等。矿石主要有自形—半自形—他形晶结构,其次有压碎结构和交代残余结构等,矿粒属粗细粒集合嵌布,黄铜矿与硫铁矿共生密切,所以原则流程考虑铜硫混合浮选。
