在新疆地区,骆驼自古以来就是非常重要的交通工具。汉代以后,随着“丝绸之路”的繁荣,西域地区的骆驼养殖业发展迅速,骆驼数以万计。在丝路重镇上,还有专人养殖骆驼,提供给过往旅人和商队使用。如今,随着公路、铁路和航空运输业的发展,新疆广袤的戈壁沙漠地区早已不再将骆驼作为主要的交通工具。但在自然条件恶劣的喀喇昆仑地区,骆驼运输仍如星星之火,萌发出了新的生机。
In Xinjiang, camels have been a very important means of transport since ancient times. Since the Han Dynasty, with the prosperity of the “Silk Road”, the camel farming industry in the Western Regions has been developing rapidly with tens of thousands of camels. Silk Road in the town, there are people breeding camels, provided to the past travelers and caravan use. Today, with the development of highways, railways and air transport, the vast Gobi Desert in Xinjiang no longer uses camels as a major means of transport. But in the poor natural conditions of Karakoram, camel transport is still like a star of fire, germinating a new vitality.
