刻帖肇始于北宋的《淳化阁帖》,而盛行于清代。明清以来,浙江慈溪商贾云集,经济繁荣,加上文风炽盛、书画收藏蔚然成风,使丛帖的刊刻成为可能。就目前所知,历史上慈溪人辑刻行世的丛帖共有五部,最早的当数明末冯元仲选辑的《天益山颠帖》六卷,清代有胡钦三选辑的《老易斋法书》四卷(刻成于道光五年)、董恒选辑的《采真馆法帖》四卷、续刻二卷(刻成于道光十四年)、
Engraving began in the Northern Song Dynasty “Chunhua Pavilion”, and prevailed in the Qing Dynasty.
