Environmental foundation engineering is a new type of discipline that has been newly developed in recent years. Due to the development of modern science and technology, environmental pollution not only causes air and water pollution to the society, but also affects the bearing capacity and deformation characteristics of foundation soil. In order to accelerate the development of environmental foundation projects, the design principles, calculation methods and protective measures for environmental foundation engineering are discussed, and the latest research achievements and academic papers in this area are exchanged. He was presided over by the Institute of International Environmental Foundation Engineering and the United States Rimhae University, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society for Testing Materials, the National Coal Development Committee of the United Kingdom, the American Institute of Deep Foundation, the International Commission for Low Cost Energy Conservation, and the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Basic Engineering. With the support of the US National Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Military Engineer Waterway Test Station, an international environmental engineering conference was held in Pennsylvania from April 21st to 25th, 1986. There are 120 countries from China, France, Britain, the United States, Canada, West Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy.
