据香港媒体报道，各国政府为鼓励民众多用公共交通工具，均采用不同的方法，但迪拜政府所用的方法应该是最吸引和最有效的。迪拜政府为庆祝11月1日的公共交通日，民众若不驾驶私家车外出，改为乘坐公共交通工具，便有机会获赠4公斤的黄金。

此次并非迪拜政府首次以黄金利诱民众去解决社会问题，由于阿联酋逾半人口超重，为鼓励人民重拾健康生活，还原娇美体态，迪拜市去年推出“体重是金”活动，胖子在30日内每减肥1公斤，便可获得1克黄金。

To celebrate the Public Transport Day， the government of Dubai announces that if people go outside by public transport instead of driving their personal cars， they will have a chance to win gold of 4 kilograms.
The foreign media cite the website report of Gulf News， as the activity to celebrate the Public Transport Day， if people of Dubai can use public means of transportation， such as underground or bus instead of driving personal cars in the coming week， they will have a chance to win 4-kilo gold by drawing a lottery or other means. It is reported that the authorities will offer prizes with a total value of 275 thousand dollars， including gold.
In addition to an abundant resource of oil， Dubai is also one of the areas that have the highest rate of owing cars. Statistics show that every family of Dubai owns 2 to 3 cars on average， but only 13 percent people choose public transport， therefore serious traffic jams often take place in Dubai.
It is not the first time that the government of Dubai has tried to solve social problems by seducing its people with gold. Since more than half of the people of United Arab Emirates are overweight， last year the government came up with the activity "weight is gold"， and overweight people could get one gram of gold for every kilo of weight they lost.
