黔东南州是我国一个少数民族聚集区,苗侗民族世居于此,繁衍生息。州境内山高水多,林木茂盛,但可耕地资源非常有限。苗族民众为节约土地,多选择在山边居住,充分利用当地丰富的杉树来建房,用杉木做桩在屋底支撑,临空建起“吊脚楼”样式的木结构房屋。这种房屋依山傍水,从远处看十分的雄伟壮美。苗族特有的居住模式节约了有限的耕地,但这种居住方式在经济快速发展时期产生了大量的相邻权纠纷,由于宅基地习惯法的特点,类似的个案成为法官在司法实践中面临的难题之一。
Qiandongnan Prefecture is a gathering area for ethnic minorities in China, where Miao and Dong peoples live and multiply. The territory of mountains is high in water, lush forests, but arable land resources are very limited.
