中国德育从古至今经历了一个正、反、合的辩证发展过程。中国德育的正题乃是传统儒家德育。作为中国传统文化的重要组成部分,传统儒家德育在历史上发挥了重要作用。近代以来,现代西方德育在中国取得"独尊"的地位,传统儒家德育则与整个传统儒家思想一起,处于一种被解构之境地。这一阶段乃是中国德育的反题。现代性自身问题的不断凸显,招致了广泛的批判;与之相反,传统儒家德育思想的价值则日益重新彰显。因此,中国现代德育的合题应该是二者的优势整合。在这一整合过程中,我们应该向传统儒家德育思想中去进行"文化寻根"。
