美国东部时间6月26日晚10时16分,美国导弹防御局在夏威夷的太平洋导弹靶场成功进行了一次末端高空区域防御(THAAD)系统的杀伤拦截试验。靶弹从C-17型运输机上投放,大约6 min后,1枚从机动发射平台上发射的拦截弹成功将其击毁。此次试验不仅证明了THAAD系统在大气层内中层对弹头目标的探测、追踪、识别和拦截能力,还进一步证明了该系统对新目标群的捕获、跟踪、识别和目标点选择能力。今年年底,THAAD系统还将在太平洋导弹靶场进行一次飞行试验。
At 10:16 p.m. on the evening of June 26 of the U.S. eastern part of the United States, the U.S. Defense Missile Defense Agency successfully conducted a kill-and-kill test for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system at the Pacific Missile Range at Hawaii. The target bomb was launched from the C-17 transport aircraft and about 6 minutes later, an interceptor missile fired from the mobile launch platform successfully destroyed it. The test not only proved the ability of THAAD system to detect, trace, identify and intercept warhead targets in the mid-atmosphere, but also further proved the system’s capability of capturing, tracking, identifying and selecting target points. By the end of this year, the THAAD system will also conduct a flight test at the Pacific Missile Range.
