2002年12月下旬,广东地区发生了传染性非典型肺炎爆发流行,2003年3月,疫情逐步蔓延到国内20多个省市、世界30多个国家和地区。在党和政府的正确领导下,经过全国人民和医务工作者的共同努力下,及时地控制了疫情的蔓延。通过此次防非工作,彻底暴露了我们目前在公共卫生领域存在的薄弱环节,使我们清醒地认识到,必须加强公共卫生体制建设。完善疾病预防控制机构的建设,加强对突发公共卫生事件的应急处理能力。
In late December 2002, an epidemic of SARS broke out in Guangdong. In March 2003, the epidemic spread to more than 20 provinces and cities in China and more than 30 countries and regions in the world. With the correct leadership of the party and the government and the concerted efforts of people and medical workers across the country, the spread of the epidemic has been controlled in a timely manner.
