1978年,祖国开始的改革开放,对台商敞开了一度紧闭的大门。然而,较成规模的台商投资则开始于1989年,当时国务院公布给予台商优惠的22条新措施,至今已有15年。 这15年来,台商在内地实现了从南到北、从传统到现代化、从点到面的快速布局。庞大的市场,每年至少7％的经济增长率,令台商对进军大陆疯狂痴迷。据台湾媒体调查,每3个台湾人中就有一位家属在大陆工作。从食品到汽车,从洗发水,香皂再到电脑……台商已经渗透到大陆经济的方方面面。 凭着语言、距离的便利,尤其是大陆各种优惠政策的鼓励,台商在大陆投资如鱼得水。截止2003年年中,在祖国大陆投资的台资企业已达68115家,累计合同金额1295亿美元,实际利用金额逼近800亿美元。投资地区,也开始由最初的珠江三角洲向长江三角洲,进而向青岛、北京、东北一线延伸,内地开始内部大开发后,台资也随之向西部辐射…… 据国家有关方面统计显示,1990-2002年,台商在祖国大陆的投资中,赚钱或持平的项目高达70％。应该说赢利的预期,成为台商投资祖国大陆最直接的推动力。 本刊特此推出《台商内地15年》的专题,以飨读者。

The investment area also started to extend from the original Pearl River Delta to the Yangtze River Delta and further to Qingdao, Beijing and Northeast China. After the mainland started its internal development, Taiwan's capital also began to radiate to the west ... According to statistics from relevant state authorities, In 2002, Taiwanese businessmen earning as much as 70% of their investment in the motherland mainland made money or remained flat.
