１９４２年，中国共产党在陕甘宁边区和各抗日根据地开展了整风运动。整风运动旨在清除王明“左”倾教条主义影响，加强党的思想与组织建设，为中国人民夺取新民主主义革命的胜利奠定坚实的基础。在运动后期，审查干部工作中，由于康生插手，导致了一场“抢救失足者”的闹剧。
In 1942, the Chinese Communist Party carried out rectification campaigns in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region and in various anti-Japanese bases. The rectification campaign aims to clear Wang Ming’s “Left” dogmatic influence and strengthen the ideological and organizational building of the party, laying a solid foundation for the Chinese people to win the victory of the new-democratic revolution. In the latter part of the campaign, in examining the work of cadres, Kang Sang intervened, leading to a farce that “rescued the losers.”
