在西藏著名作家马丽华的新著《青藏苍茫》的序言中,西藏自治区宣传部部长肖怀远写道:……1996年5月,我陪同国家科委、中国科学院等单位12名科学家沿雅鲁藏布江走了一趟,进行大峡谷电站超前期预察。行至米林县派乡东侧的一个村子,前面没有路了……一个村民老远跑来,边跑边喊着什么。他在喊谁呢?同行的中科院水利专家关志华教授听懂了,兴奋地对我说:“他在喊杨逸畴,我们青藏科考队的一个老队员。”杨逸畴教授二十多年间多次参加大峡谷地区科学考察,当地谁人不识君!在这里,“杨逸畴”成了中国科学家的代称。当地群众对于科学家的热情,犹如之于“金珠玛米”(解放军)。
